Volunteer Role Overview
Cota is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic volunteer to support our Scarborough Drop-in Group. The successful candidate will play an important role in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for participants. Duties include setting up the space, preparing snacks and beverages, welcoming clients, engaging in friendly conversations or light activities, and assisting with cleanup at the end of the session.
Responsibilities
- Assist with setup (chairs, snacks, coffee, water, etc.)
- Greet and welcome participants into the space
- Engage with clients through friendly conversation, games, or assisting as needed (e.g. helping individuals with disabilities get refreshments)
- Support staff in group facilitation as needed
- Assist with tidying up and storing items after the group ends
Requirements/Successful Candidate Requires:
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Police Record Check
- Vulnerable Sector Screening
