Tsawwassen Community and Culture Student Researchers (2)

 Temporary part-time Contract

 

Tsawwassen has a contract opportunity for two Tsawwassen Community and Culture Student Researchers. The students will work with the Law Foundation Project team to research and conduct research on Tsawwassen traditional laws and community safety. 

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Research related TFN memos and literature reviews
  • Assist with planning and organization and community-based research
  • Interview community members
  • Research Tsawwassen and Coast Salish stories

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellence in research and writing
  • Familiarity with Tsawwassen community and culture
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and foster a collaborative, respectful and supportive environment with colleagues

 

Compensation: $25.59 per hour. As this is a contract position it does not qualify for benefits coverage.

Work setting: Work begins in September. Office hours are 8:30 to 4:30 Monday to Friday. Temporary part -time hours can be flexible with school schedules or other obligations. This position is eligible for a Hybrid work arrangement.
