Primary Role: Camp Managers oversee all aspects of workforce camp operations, supervise catering and custodian staff as well as carry out administrative tasks and are the main site contact for client relations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years successful experience in managing a busy workforce camp or hotel, including budget tracking and management, staff supervision, scheduling and training, ordering and inventory management, quality control, and administrative duties. Prefer experience with over 300 bed accommodations.
- FoodSafe Level 1 (required), FoodSafe Level 2 (preferred), Basic First Aid (required)
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, Outlook and OneDrive, lodge management software experience an asset. Must be proficient with computers and able to adapt to new software with ease.
- Experience with inventory and ordering procedures, and staying within a set budget
- High level of professionalism, demonstrated record of excellent customer service and client relations
- Background and training in workplace safety systems, including training others
- Current class 5 Driving License
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to employment and work/live drug and alcohol free for up to 4 weeks at a time

- Must be able to live in a remote camp environment for up to 4 weeks at a time, working 12-hour shifts
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee all custodial and catering operations at the camp
- Communicate with the client regarding camp numbers, quantities & ordering
- Coordinate with head office, clients, maintenance personnel and catering staff to ensure smooth operation of camp.
- Implement Summit’s Safety Management System and encourage safe work behavior in all employees.
- Complete and file and/or submit all required documentation, tracking, and quality control measures
- Track and manage project budget within set limits
- Address residents’ complaints and needs promptly and effectively
- Schedule and oversee all Summit staff on site, including new employee orientation and training
- Work with HR to address employee relations and compliance issues
- Ensure food safety standards are met and maintained at all times
- Ensure that entire camp is maintained in a clean and orderly condition, and all camp equipment is functioning properly
- Enforce Summit and camp policies and rules as required
- Complete and Review thorough crossover notes for cross shift worker
- Project a positive and professional attitude, at all times, and encourage the same in all staff.
Starting Wage: $23.50-26.50/hr plus overtime, dependent upon experience and qualifications
