Summit Camps is recruiting for a casual shuttle driver based out of Prince George to drive our staff and goods to remote workforce sites. We offer an inclusive work environment and competitive wages. Frequency of scheduled trips will be 2-3 trips per week to various locations. Approximately 14-28 hours per week, some trips will be longer and incur overtime. There will be more trips as needed.

Primary Role: Drivers are responsible for safely and reliably transporting employees and products to and from remote workforce camp sites.

 Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract
• Experienced driving on active logging/mining roads and using radio communication
• WHMIS and First Aid Level 1 preferred
• Commercial driving experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to employment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Practice safe work procedures and rectify and/or report any safety hazards immediately
• Conduct vehicle inspections per the company schedule
• Tidy and vacuum and clean vehicle inside and out per set schedule
• Change garbage and recycling bins each trip
• Report any maintenance issues to supervisor, promptly
• Drive and pick up vehicle for maintenance and repairs at mechanic shop
• Provide a friendly, reliable driver service for employees, communicate with head office to ensure employees are accounted for.

Wage: $25/hour plus overtime, long days required
