GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate forklift, overhead crane, loader, telehandler, or other equipment to load/unload, transport, and store goods
• Operate company vehicles, including 1-ton trucks and trailers (e.g. gooseneck, flatbeds, etc.)
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures regarding shipping and receiving to provide back up assistance to the warehouse
• Assist in Outside Sales department with delivery/pick up of:
  • Rental equipment
  • New equipment sales
  • Other delivery/pick up, as assigned
• Assist in intercompany projects requiring additional personnel resources or support
• Assist with general facilities maintenance
• Assist with cleaning, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and tools, as required
• Other duties and tasks as assigned

Basic Requirements:

• Ability to commence full-time (40 hours/week) work from the beginning of May until the end of August
• Class 5 driving license required; Class 1A,3, 5 with G endorsement driving license preferred
• Experience is towing trailers in town would be beneficial but not required
• 2 years experience in a construction related role would be beneficial but not required
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Ability to handle competing priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work well alone or in a team setting
• Possess a positive and professional attitude, set a high standard, and convey professionalism at all times

Note: The Group Services General Labourer – Summer Student position is deemed a safety-sensitive position and applicant must successfully complete a pre-employment drug & alcohol test as a condition of employment. This position will require work boots that meet the minimum position standards.
