Northern Strands Group of Companies is currently accepting applications for Summer Student Employment for the months of May to August 2025. Our diverse Group of Companies consists of Northern Strands, Fortis Mining, Engineering & Manufacturing, and Certified Sales & Rentals. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize file systems, as needed
• Aid in the improvements of processes across the company, as needed
• Perform inventory management
• Coordinate with various departments to improve their flow of work
• Assist in developing methods for tracking and reporting on specific data
• Assist in development of forms relating to corporate policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements:

• Ability to commence full-time (40 hours/week) work from the beginning of May until the end of August
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal
• Ability to handle competing priorities simultaneously 
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work well alone or in a team setting
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) is considered an asset
• Possess a positive and professional attitude, set a high standard, and convey professionalism at all times
