Marketing Administrator Summer Student

Northern Strands is currently recruiting to fulfill a Marketing Administrator Summer Student role for the months of May to the end of August. Our diverse Group of Companies consists of Northern Strands, Fortis Mining Engineering & Manufacturing, and Certified Sales & Rentals. Key Responsibilities:
- Aiding in trade show logistics, set up, take down, renting, booking, etc.
- Aiding in organizing charity events
- General marketing tasks
- Register employees into events
- Document/Marketing material proofing
- Document editing (i.e.reformatting documents)
- Proof blogs and then repost approved blogs on all social media platforms
- Creating and serving E-blasts
- First drafts of profile, blogs, and social media content
- Working with graphic designer on first drafts of marketing materials and brochures
- Creating basic marketing materials and brochures
- Aiding in creating and managing equipment posts on Kijiji and Company website
- Assist with any required research tasks
- Aiding in the ordering of marketing materials, decals, signage, etc.
- Aiding in booking, implementing, and monitoring of approved media campaigns (i.e., Google Ad words, email blasts, etc.)
- Aid in the monitoring and review of Google Analytics and review with Marketing Manager
- Taking high quality photos and videos of products
- Putting together promotional item packages for sponsorships, clients, and events
- Video and photo editing tasks (i.e., Photoshop and video slideshows)
- PowerPoint creation and revisions
- Organization of marketing materials and folders; including updating marketing material folders immediately after documents have been created or revised
Basic Requirements:
- Ability to commence full-time (40 hours/week) work from the beginning of May until the end of August
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong time- management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Work well alone or in a team setting
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Suite is considered an asset
