In addition to the work we do in venues we also work with some of the biggest festival organisers in the world bringing merchandise to music and entertainment fans at events that include Download, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Isle of Wight, British Summer Time, Glastonbury, Camp Bestival, Electric Picnic, Leeds & Reading festivals and many more.
We are looking for a Retail Manager to manage our merchandise store in the O2 Arena.
Reporting to the Area Manager – South, the Retail Manager will undertake the strategic development and management of the Merchandise Store in the O2, and through motivation and effective use of staff to deliver a world class quality service to customers whilst achieving required revenue targets. The Retail Manager will lead on all stock purchasing, staffing, operations, activations, artist pop-ups and takeovers.
Key Duties Include:
- Overall responsibility for all aspects of staffing, stock control, stocktaking, deliveries and reordering of products in the UK’s first artist merchandise store.
- Regular liaison with merchandise companies and suppliers to ensure the development and sourcing of new merchandising opportunities, including the use of the unit for artist takeovers and pop-ups
- All reporting of daily, weekly and monthly sales figures, forecasts and other reporting as required by the Area Manager.
The ideal applicant will have previous experience of working within a similar role.
They will have good knowledge of merchandising and stock control and the ability to maintain good stock levels at all times.
With strong communication skills, both written and verbal the ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills and financial acumen with previous experience of managing budgets.
A team player with good supervision skills, they will be IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Due to the responsibilities within this role, the successful applicant needs to have the flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays, often working in excess of their contracted hours.
