Who are we?

National Merchandise manage merchandise concessions for both one-off and multi-date events and merchandise sales at live events across indoor and outdoor events around the UK and Europe.

We are now about to start a new adventure working within Arenas within Stockholm, Sweden including the Strawberry Arena (previously the Friends Arena), Tele2 Arena, Hovet Arena, Avicii Arena and the Annexet.

Working in world leading venues you will support the team selling merchandise for the likes of Iron Maiden, Imagine Dragons, Peter Johansson, Heilung, Nothing but Thieves, tKAiDA, Billie Eilish, Kylie Minogue and One Republic to name a few.

What are we looking for?

From January 2025, National Merchandise will be expanding to include venue merchandising for arenas in Stockholm. As part of this new venture, we are looking for a full time Merchandise Manager.

Our Merchandise Managers will support the Head of National Merchandise in the development and management of merchandise.

Through the motivation and effective use of their team the Merchandise Manager will deliver a world-class service to our customers whilst achieving budgeted revenue targets.

In addition, the Merchandise Manager will:

  • Undertake daily cashing up, the balancing of tills and banking
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the merchandise sales, including but not limited to checking stock in and out, managing the sales units on event days, and ensuring events are prepped in advance
  • Liaise with our Finance team to ensure all financial regulations are complied with
  • Be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely pricing of all merchandise
  • Ensure daily and weekly rotas are managed to ensure adequate cover at all times
  • Be responsible for the recruitment, induction, training and development of the merchandise team.

Our Essential Requirements

The Merchandise Manager will:

  • Have excellent Team Management and Supervision skills
  • Be highly IT Literate
  • Have strong communication skills (both written and verbal, in English and Swedish) and strong numerical skills and financial acumen
  • Possess the ability to manage budgets effectively and to work flexibly to meet the needs of our business
  • Have previous experience of merchandising and stock control, able to maintain good levels of stock at all times
  • Have an understanding of basic retail practices and the ability to ensure that these are in place on a daily basis
  • Have the flexibility to work in line with the needs of the business, this will include late nights, weekends and bank holidays
