About the Opportunity

The IT Manager role oversees all information technology systems and planning for CLS. This position is hands-on and requires collaborating with teams to achieve goals (strategic/operations), meet project deadlines, eliminate security risks and increase stakeholder satisfaction. The IT Manager monitors existing systems for efficiency and continuity as well as prepare for future growth.

 

This role is accountable for:

IT Operations:

  • Working collaboratively with the Chief Financial Officer and external IT partner(s) to plan and develop strategies, work plans, and projects that provide for the orderly and cost-effective development, installation, and operation of information technology systems.
  • Working collaboratively with Directors, Leaders, and external IT partner(s) to analyze IT needs of each department and oversees the execution of short and long-term plans to meet these needs, including drafting proposals, developing and managing IT budgets, reporting on expenditures and recommending budget changes when necessary.
  • Contributing to the organization’s annual planning process as it relates to the IT plan including keeping up to date with industry best practices and discussing the value of these with the CLS Management team.
  • Providing on-site technical support to employees for day-to-day IT needs, ensuring computers, software, phone and voicemail, and other IT systems operate effectively, including coordinating the setting and re-setting of passwords.
  • Working with external IT partner(s) to develop and implement strategies, policies, procedures, and technologies related to the management of Cybersecurity for the organizations systems as well as develops business continuity plans for use in the event of power outage, weather catastrophes, hardware failures and or other disasters and disruptions to the organization information technology systems.
  • Develops and implements IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies and ensure legal, regulatory, requirements are met where appropriate.
  • Oversees the administration and maintenance of employee used IT equipment such as desktop computers, laptops, and phones.
  • Oversee service agreements and manage relationships with external IT partner(s) to ensure service levels are maintained.

 

Business Systems:

  • Complete intake for new referrals as needed
  • Working collaboratively with the Executives to analyze the business system needs of the organization while developing and leading the execution of short and long-term strategies/plans to meet these needs, including drafting proposals, developing, and managing IT budgets, reporting on expenditures, and recommending budget changes when necessary. 
  • Overseeing all business systems technology including, but not limited to HR information systems, financial systems, contract management systems and client information systems to ensure established goals are met.
  • Maintaining effective communications with the Executives, Directors, Managers, and staff to ensure that business information systems and technologies for current and future business management and decision-making requirements are provided, improved, and replaced as required.
  • Developing and implementing related IT policies, frameworks, and systems to support the implementation of business systems strategies and ensures projects meet professional licensing and/or other accreditation requirements including legal, regulatory, and other requirements.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience is required.
  • Experience implementing/deploying organization-wide IT solutions with demonstrated project management ability.
  • Advanced skill in the use of computers and related applications, including project management software, MS 365 and various operating platforms; willingness to participate in forums that support continuous learning in new technologies and adapt to changes in technology/software.
  • Strong working knowledge of programming, systems design, database design, and data communication concepts are preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for frequent interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability work effectively both independently and as a member of a team and adapt to a variety of schedules and working conditions.
  • Ability to re-prioritize and adjust to interruptions and changing requirements.
  • Knowledge of the goals, objectives, structure and operations of major social service agencies.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license, clean drivers abstract.
