About the Opportunity

The Human Resources Recruiter works as a key member of the Human Resources team leading full-cycle recruitment. You will report directly to the Human Resources Manager and work from the CLS’ Administration Centre located in downtown New Westminster. As the successful candidate, you will work independently and diligently to ensure that positions are filled with qualified candidates in a timely and efficient manner. More specifically your role will include the following:

  • Determine location-specific recruitment needs and look for innovative, creative ways to fill these needs
  • Actively attending to locations to develop a strong understanding of the needs of the individuals we support ensuring appropriate and qualified candidates are presented
  • Recruits, selects, extends offer and successfully places candidates across CLS
  • Generates a wide source of applications; places advertisements, postings, and website information and continually looks for new ways to source quality candidates including the use of social media
  • Develops and maintains post-secondary relationships and conducts community outreach/networking
  • Supports organization social media strategy and communication efforts
  • Oversees special recruiting projects and events
  • Basic administration related to onboarding and data entry of a new hire
  • Collates all recruiting data, conducts analysis and supports recruitment strategy
  • Supports broader HR team initiatives and performs other duties as assigned

 

About You

Your attention to detail and outgoing, customer focused personality with a "can do" attitude will allow you to succeed in this role. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving organization. A minimum of two years recruiting experience in a medium to large organization (non-profit experience an asset) and relevant education is required. With strong organizational skills you are capable of managing multiple, urgent priorities. Working with a small HR team dedicated to providing quality customer service for the organization, you support an open and collaborative work environment. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with your adaptable and flexible nature will support your success in this role.
