Həleləm Collective is a Tsawwassen First Nation–led housing authority responsible for managing rental housing and housing programs, and supporting Members in accessing safe, stable, and community-centred housing.

We are seeking a Housing Programs & Member Engagement Coordinator to lead our Member-facing housing programs and support relationships with Members both on and off Tsawwassen Lands.

This is a relational role. It involves working directly with Members, supporting access to housing programs, and helping navigate housing pathways over time.

What you will do

  • Coordinate and administer housing-related programs (e.g., grants, workshops, supports)
  • Build relationships with Members and support them in accessing housing opportunities
  • Lead conversations with tenants about housing needs and potential transitions
  • Design and deliver workshops related to housing stability and home ownership readiness
  • Support outreach to Members living off Lands who may wish to return home
  • Work closely with internal staff and TFN departments to ensure a coordinated approach

Who you are

Relevant post-secondary education and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education, skill-based training and related experience, as below:

  • Experienced in program coordination, housing, or community-based work
  • Skilled at building trust and working respectfully with diverse community members
  • Comfortable facilitating conversations, including complex or sensitive situations
  • Organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities with care and attention
  • Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset

Position details

  • Full-time, permanent
  • Hybrid: on-site work on Tsawwassen Lands and some remote flexibility

Compensation & Benefits

  • $36.92 – $42.00 per hour (approximately $72,000 – $82,000 annually). Placement within the pay range is based on a review of skills, experience, and internal equity.
  • Annual cost of living increases.
  • Participation in the BC Municipal Pension Plan (employee contributes 8.61%, employer contributes 9.31%).
