Sales Leader

Job No: DEMO111
Location: Vancouver

The Opportunity

With the ongoing growth of our client base and products, we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join our global  team, based in Vancouver, as Sales Leader.

This is an invaluable hands-on position that will pave the way for continued growth of our agile company.

You'll oversee a current team of three Sales Representatives / Business Development Managers based in Vancouver (with a view to grow the team in 2019), and will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining sales operations and strategies;
  • Managing additional sales channels within the wider organisational Group (we have approximately 25 salespeople across Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Vancouver selling Scout to the Australian, NZ, Pacific and North American markets);
  • Connecting with prospects (senior decision makers in HR and C-Level roles) over the phone, video and face-to-face, through your own lead generation and warm digital marketing leads;
  • Conducting a discovery to learn about their recruitment goals and challenges, and determining which of Scout Talent’s products are the right fit; and
  • Confirming pricing, handling objections, and managing the sales process.

As with all of our leaders, you'll lead by example, spending up to 70% of your time focusing on paving the way, talking to prospects, and inspiring your team through your results - and 30% of your time undertaking leadership duties.

We're looking for a motivated and hungry individual who's keen to remain hands-on while undertaking operational management responsibilities - you'll get a thrill from chasing down the next opportunity/deal/sale and want to continue this while challenging yourself in additional areas of leadership.

Experience in a sales leadership capacity is required, as are well-developed people management skills and a strong focus on delivering results. A background in SaaS or recruitment would be ideal, however is not essential if you are able to demonstrate transferrable skills and experience.

Package & Perks

You'll be rewarded with a remuneration package made up of an attractive base salary and commissions related to individual and team performance (OTE of $120,000 - $180,000).

You'll be well supported by Marketing, Account Management, Client Success, Product and Development teams who know the ropes and are invested in helping you and your team succeed.

We value innovation, enthusiasm, ownership, transparency and wellbeing.

Our company culture is really important to us and we celebrate success with regular shout-outs on our internal social network, ringing bells when a new sale comes in, quarterly awards nights/parties, and an annual overseas weekend rewards for our High Achievers (this July we're headed to Vegas!). As much as we recognise and reward our people, we also place importance on focus and self-discipline. It's a good balance.

We've had over 10 years of steady results and have grown revenue year-on-year. We’re a stable, proven organisation rather than a risky start-up. As part of our wider Group we have a three-year plan to IPO. It’s a good time to join.
