Certified Sales & Rentals is currently recruiting to fulfill an Automotive Service Technician role. The Automotive Service Technician’s primary responsibilities include performing inspections, troubleshooting, and repairing vehicles effectively and efficiently, as well as completing all required safety documentation. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test will be required as a condition of employment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform safety inspections and diagnostics on vehicles including but not limited to, engines, brakes, transmission, electrical, suspension, and tires
• Perform broad quality repairs using proper procedures
  • Complete quality checks and road tests after repairs
  • Ensure service and tools documentation are recorded accurately
  • Comply with warranty procedures & warranty materials
• Meet deadlines for commissioning and repairing vehicles and equipment
• Communicate issues of importance with the Mechanical Maintenance Manager in a timely manner
• Keep repair facility and workspace clean and orderly
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Other tasks as required to meet client and operational requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Minimum Grade 12, or equivalent
• Automotive Service Technician Journeyperson certificate is required
• Previous experience in automotive repairs or similar role is required
• Able to diagnose, identify, and repair all makes and models of light vehicles and light vehicles
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required
• Any safety-related training and certificates would be beneficial
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to use judgment and apply discretion when making decisions
• Ability to work alone or in a team environment
• Strong time management skills
