About the Opportunity
ʔaq̓am is currently filling two (2) Project Manager, Facilities and Infrastructure positions. These roles are responsible for managing projects related to current and new facilities and infrastructure according to a set annual work plan. Facilities and Infrastructure under the purview of the Organization can include housing, administration buildings, roads and paths, ʔaq̓am owned businesses, etc. The Project Manager(s) may be responsible for tracking and ensuring upkeep and maintenance of current infrastructure or the scope and build out of new infrastructure. The PM will be responsible for preparation of project proposals, scope, budget development and tracking, developing and overseeing requests for proposals, funding reports and working with contractors, community members, stakeholders and colleagues to ensure timely and on budget completion of projects.
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Project development, management, and administration of assigned projects including but not limited to:
- Preparation of project proposal plans
- Prepare request for proposals, solicit quotes, and complete scope of work/contracts and budgets for Director and leadership approval and provide continuous reporting to the Director.
- Oversee and manage contracts, service agreements and contractors.
- Provide regular updates to Community and Leadership
- Preparation of project budgets and keep accurate up to date records of expenditures.
- Process payables and complete other related financial components of the project.
- Represent ʔaq̓am at meetings, conferences and delegations, as required.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up to date project documents and files.
- Attend Community meetings and Council meetings, as required.
- Proactively seek funding through grant writing. Grant and funding application preparation and administration including keeping up to date records and completing reporting requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring the use and implementation of the Asset Planner tool. Use information to make recommendations to home-owners and leadership for short, medium and long term capital projects.

More About You
The successful candidate holds a minimum of a Business Administration/Project Management Diploma but preferred Bachelor's Degree or a combination of relevant education and experience. Minimum of 5+ years of recent, and relevant experience working in a similar role. Previous experience developing grant and funding proposals, managing contracts and contractors we well as significant demonstrated knowledge of BC Building Code and WorkSafe BC regulations.
Salary will commensurate with experience from a range ($80,173 - $100,035) and includes a favorable benefits package and pension plan.
