About the Opportunity
We are seeking two temporary Housing Assistants to support the Housing and Facilities Team. Hours of work can be flexible from 20 to 25 hours per week. The Housing Assistant(s) are responsible for administratively supporting the housing program that are ʔaq̓am Operations & Community Services-Housing focused based, according to qanikitȼi (ʔaq̓am values and principles) for the use and benefit of all ʔaq̓amnik̓ (ʔaq̓am people present and future generations). This position is temporary for an approximate 10 week term.
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Completing paperwork and organizing housing-related information/files/electronic filing
- Addressing grant applications, including required reporting and resubmitting applications, where required.
- Organizing and entering data into the asset management planner for home renovations and repairs
- Administering housing insurance
- Providing customer service and follow-up for daily housing inquiries.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up to date project documents and files.
More About You
The successful candidate holds a minimum of a Business Administration or Office Administration Diploma and relevant experience. Minimum of 2 years of recent, and relevant experience working in a similar role. Previous experience reviewing and administering grants and funding proposals. Strong time management, organizational and customer service skills are required. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing is a must. Experience supporting rental housing or leased buildings would be an asset.
Hourly wage will commensurate with experience from a range of $20 - $28/hour, plus vacation pay.
