About the Opportunity
ʔaq̓am is seeking responsible, energetic and dynamic individuals to fill the positions of ʔaq̓amnik Summer Program Assistants for the months of July and August. The program runs for 7 consecutive weeks from July 7 to August 22, 2025 with potential work for Assistants the week of June 24, 2025. There are multiple temporary positions for full-time, part-time and casual/on-call; daily hours will average 7 to 7.5.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Provide quality childcare as well as plan and carry out developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 6-12 years
- Function as a member of our cohesive and cooperative team, which includes staff, parents and community members.
- Possess Grade Twelve or equivalent education
- Possess a valid First Aid Certificate
- Proof of a clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
- WHIMIS; or willingness to obtain.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Previous experience with early childhood education is an asset.
Hourly wage range from $17 - 25/hour depending on experience and education.
Preference will be given to candidates of Ktunaxa or other Indigenous ancestry and ʔaq̓am encourages applicants to self-identify within your application.
