Fleet and Dispatch Assistant

Do you enjoy taking care of vehicles? Do you love helping drivers in the morning and checking them in at the end of the day? Join our growing team as a Fleet and Dispatch Assistant! We’re recruiting a skilled and flexible individual who can handle multiple priorities, stay calm and under pressure, and keep organized for success. The Fleet and Dispatch Assistant is responsible to make sure the delivery fleet is ready for duty to deliver smiles to customers each day!

Duties

  • Safely drive and operate a commercial vehicle with a rated capacity of 910 kg or more
  • Use a hand held device to perform vehicle inspections and report issues
  • Maintain internal and external cleanliness of vehicles
  • Ensure fleet is ready for duty, problem solve fleet and driver issues and liaise with management
  • Perform basic roadside assistance and shuttle vehicles for servicing
  • Support dispatch team in the morning, including assisting drivers and loading packages
  • Receive drivers at the end of the day and perform shift debrief  
  • Maintain a clean and orderly working area and manage station supplies
  • Enthusiastically and responsibly represent our company's dedication to accuracy, safety, and excellence in customer service

 Hours of Work, Schedules & Training

  • 40 hours per week
  • Split shift from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 4:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday to Friday
  • Evening shift on Saturday, 5 to 9 pm
  • Comprehensive safety training provided

 Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting hourly rate is $22.00

 Requirements:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record
  • At least two years of professional driving or delivery experience
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs (packages and/or vehicle tires and equipment), with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Able to get in and out of the van and walk long distances during your shift
  • Comfortable driving and working outdoors in all seasons
  • Previous delivery or fleet management experience an asset
  • Ability to use various computer applications and software an asset
  • Home computer and home internet access an asset

 

Location: Amazon Station DYB3, 13410 102 Ave SW, Leduc, Alberta (Hwy 2 and 19)
