About the Opportunity
Airbus Helicopters Canada is an industry-leading manufacturer, and we are looking to hire multiple Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our team in Fort Erie, O.N., on a full-time basis. Regular working hours are 7:30AM-4:00PM, Monday to Friday, with optional overtime opportunities available.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Aircraft Completions, this role is responsible for assembling, maintaining, testing, and inspecting aircraft while ensuring full compliance with Transport Canada and company standards.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Installing aircraft options and STC kits in accordance with work orders, manuals, and technical drawings
- Assembling and disassembling aircraft components to support completions and painting processes
- Performing inspections to identify defects, documenting findings, and implementing corrective actions
- Conducting functional checks on aircraft systems (fuel, engine, fluids) to ensure flight readiness
- Preparing, cleaning, and polishing aircraft for final delivery to customers
- Recording, troubleshooting, and resolving snags identified during assembly and testing
- Carrying out ground runs, flight tests, and rotor track and balance procedures
- Verifying aircraft performance parameters and ensuring all systems operate within specified ranges
- Supporting quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with airworthiness and regulatory standards
- Mentoring and supporting Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentices and contributing as a team lead when required
- Maintaining accurate documentation, work orders, and time tracking for all completed work
- Ensuring adherence to safety standards, proper tooling procedures, and a clean, organized work environment
More About You
To qualify, you will need completion of a Transport Canada-approved Aircraft Maintenance program and a valid TCCA AME License. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a licensed technician in aircraft maintenance will also be essential.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Experience working with Airbus or helicopter aircraft
- Background in aircraft operational maintenance environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and instructions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
