About the Opportunity
Country Prime Meats is looking for full-time Production Lineworkers and Packaging Lineworkers to join our team in Lac La Hache, BC.
Reporting to either the Production Supervisor or Packaging Supervisor, you will play a key role in preparing, packaging, and organizing meat products to meet quality, safety, and operational standards.
In these positions, you will be primarily responsible for operating equipment, assembling products, maintaining a clean and food-safe environment, and ensuring that day-to-day line activities run smoothly.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Production Lineworker
- Setting up and operating mixers, flakers, vat dumpers, and emulsifiers
- Preparing meat, skins, buggies, and other production materials
- Monitoring product flow and recording waste, time studies, and daily reports
- Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards in the production area
- Communicating with supervisors to ensure smooth line operations

Packaging Lineworker
- Assembling, filling, labeling, and stacking boxes and packages
- Sorting and trimming product as required
- Setting up scales and ensuring packaging specs are accurate
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe packaging environment
- Coordinating with team members to prepare lines for startup and meet safety standards

More About You
To qualify, you will need to have completed secondary school or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience. These are hands-on roles in a food processing environment, and while full training is provided for production roles, packaging positions do require some prior food safety knowledge.
The following are required:
- Availability for early morning shifts
- Ability perform repetitive tasks
- Comfort working in refrigerated environments and around machinery
For Production Lineworkers, no previous experience is required. You will receive on-the-job training and learn directly from experienced team members. Please note that this role requires the physical ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs as part of regular duties.
For Packaging Lineworkers, familiarity with SQF or BRC standards is considered an asset.
