About the Opportunity

Blue Mountain Power Co-op (BMPC) is looking for a full-time Project & Facility Maintenance Coordinator based in Rocky Mountain House, AB.

In this role, you will report to the Project Services Manager and support operations by coordinating the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical power distribution systems, ensuring smooth project implementation.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing construction projects from request to closeout, including estimating, researching, and applying for land rights and consents
  • Preparing electrification and construction proposals for internal and external stakeholders
  • Conducting facility inspections and coordinating vendor management for maintenance servicing
  • Maintaining and overseeing office equipment and supplies as directed by management
  • Interfacing with members to address inquiries, provide quotes, and deliver excellent customer service
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office tools for analysis, process improvement, and project documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and addressing workplace safety issues promptly
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve project deadlines and operational goals

About You

To qualify, you will need 5+ years of experience in project management and facility maintenance and experience within the electric utility industry.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Deep understanding of electric utility operations and distribution systems
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with process improvement and analysis
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and seamlessly shift focus between tasks and projects
  • Strong oral communication skills with a focus on engaging and assisting members both in person and over the phone
