About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an NDT Technician to join our team in Delta, B.C. on a permanent, full-time basis. Shifts are on a rotating schedule: 2 weeks of AM shift from 6:00AM to 2:00PM followed by 2 weeks of PM shift from 2:00PM to 10:00PM.

The successful candidate will perform NDT work using techniques like Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Penetrant Particle Testing (PT) on Aircraft engines and airframe piece parts, assemblies, and accessories in the shop, based on CGSB standards.

More specifically, your main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Proactively provide feedback to the Lead regarding findings, quality, and quantity
  • Perform daily duties as assigned by the Lead
  • Ensure all RIS inspections pertaining to NDT are carried out and properly documented
  • Meet tasks and gate deadlines set by the Lead or Team Leader
  • Re-prioritize tasks immediately in conjunction with the Lead or Team Leader in the event of a work change
  • Participate proactively in process optimization efforts
  • Provide practical training to others as needed
  • Possess good knowledge of MPI and FPI testing for engine parts and components

More About You

We are looking for candidates who must possess the qualifications of an NDT Technician with minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related role. Must have the ability to perform NDT work and possess the minimum of Level II for Magnetic Particle Testing [ MT ] and Penetrant Particle Testing [ PT ] based on the current CGSB standards for these particular disciplines.

Additionally, the following are required for this position:

  • Industry experience within aerospace, oil and gas, heavy industry, or within a large-scale mechanical sector will be strong assets 
  • Reliable vehicle or method of commute to and from our Delta facility 
  • Ability to clear Transport Canada security check as and when required
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP system is an asset
