About the Opportunity
John Brooks Company currently has multiple exciting full-time Bilingual Technical Sales Representative opportunities, all in our Pump department in the following territories:

Laval, Montreal East, Laurentides/Lanaudiere, Outaouais, Abitibi

South Shore, Montérégie Centre & East, and Estrie

West Montreal, Monteregie West to Outaouais West to Trenton, ON
Travel will be up to 75% day travel and approximately 10% long-distance travel to customer & supplier sites (overnight travel as required).
Reporting to the Sales Manager you will be responsible for providing field technical sales support to customers of John Brooks Company in various markets and industries. The incumbent will be responsible for consultative field sales activities – both generating and closing sales opportunities, necessary to maintain and grow business for Pump products. Our Technical Sales Representatives are responsible for overall customer satisfaction while meeting or exceeding the territory sales and profitability targets.
Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing top-quality field technical sales support to customers for pump products and pump systems
- Prospecting and generating sales opportunities and leads
- Establishing and maintaining professional business relations with new and existing customers
- Servicing existing customers as well as pursuing new territory growth
- Visiting customers to review products & applications, evaluating and recommending custom pump solutions to suit individual customer needs
- Managing CRM effectively
- Participating in joint calls with management, suppliers, and other division representatives
- Engaging in continuous learning with suppliers, factories, and virtual resources
About you
In order to qualify for these roles, you must have at least 1-3 years of experience in an outside sales role in a relevant industry (industrial, manufacturing, construction, etc) and possess at least a High school diploma/ GED. A Post-secondary degree/ diploma in a technical field is preferred but not mandatory. You must also have proven industrial or technical/mechanical experience, as well as a valid Driver's license.
The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
- Strong industry knowledge encompassing products, systems, applications, and industrial pump system reviews (preferred)
- A hunter mindset with solid technical aptitude and a general understanding of industrial processes
- Effective interpersonal skills for building and nurturing relationships
- Proficiency in time management, communication, presentation, and problem-solving
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software systems (preferred)
- Alignment with John Brooks' values, including customer focus, ownership, respect, performance excellence, integrity, and innovation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Curiosity and a strong desire for continuous learning
- Sales acumen and understanding of sales cycle dynamics
- Business development mindset and a willingness to learn and grow
- Fluid handling experience (asset)
