About The Opportunity

SmileSonica has an opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join our team on a full-time basis in Toronto, Ontario. This is a remote role that involves in-person client visits (80% to 90% in person visits, with some weekends and evenings required).

You will be primarily responsible for applying comprehensive knowledge of Aevo System™/LIPUS technology sales strategies for key accounts to accelerate market adoption, facilitate trial, full integration, and drive revenue. You will be responsible for selling directly to professional Orthodontists and Dentists, challenging the status quo for orthodontic treatment by introducing advanced technology that makes treatment faster and safer, while helping practitioners grow their business and increase positive patient experiences. You will also be responsible for building new relationships in the Greater Toronto Area.

While no two days will ever be alike in this fast-paced and exciting role, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing consultative selling by offering industry and consumer insights, challenging customers to modernize and grow their business, and assisting in technology implementation and office process refinement
  • Achieving quarterly and yearly territory sales targets
  • Managing a defined geography of Orthodontic and Dental accounts, promoting the Aevo System™ to new and existing customers for full integration
  • Utilizing analytics to drive customer decision-making
  • Planning and executing a Territory plan based on the potential in each account within the defined geography
  • Creating and executing account plans for highest potential accounts, understanding their business, goals, challenges, and opportunities
  • Building positive relationships with dental practice team members using a consultative and collaborative approach to inspire modernization and growth with the Aevo System™
  • Educating customers on products to ensure clinical comfort with the Aevo System™ and services
  • Communicating cross-functionally to develop an in-depth understanding of business needs and effectively articulate fit with SmileSonica products
  • Orchestrating internal company resources to optimize the customer experience and continuously promote SmileSonica solutions

More About You

To qualify, ideally you will have a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent education, and 3+ years outside business-to-business (B2B) sales experience in the Canadian orthodontic or dental industry. Candidates with 3+ years of related experience in the orthodontic or dental industry would also be considered.

The following skills, experience, and abilities are also required:

  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of orthodontics and dentistry
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage in clinical conversations with orthodontists and dentists
  • Proficient in facilitating business discussions with orthodontic and dental practice owners
  • Proven sales skills with a track record of achieving sales goals
  • Strong negotiation abilities
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and virtual communication platforms
  • Experience with a CRM system, such as Salesforce 
  • Understanding of orthodontic and dental practice dynamics and market trends

In exchange for your hard work, you’ll be rewarded with a highly attractive salary of $65,000 to $95,000, based on knowledge and experience, plus an annual bonus and the following benefits:
