About the Opportunity

Currently, Kode Contracting Ltd. is looking for a full-time Project Manager to work in our Prince George, BC office. A hybrid or remote work arrangement may be available for candidates who can commute when needed. 

The Project Manager is accountable for all aspects of our projects from their inception to execution. This includes planning, managing employees, resources, costs, schedule, and scope of the project. The PM is also accountable for communicating with all appropriate stakeholders involved with the project (i.e. clients, management, employees, operations, shop, human resources, health and safety, First Nations and regulators as appropriate, etc.).

In addition, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Provides costs and program estimates for projects presented/obtained and follows cost estimation procedures in line with company policy
  • Ensures that the project team completes the project safely per company, regulatory, and client requirements
  • Ensures all team members complete all their project administrative requirements on time and documentation is sent to the appropriate department for filing or follow-up (i.e. time sheets, H&S training, daily paperwork, etc.)
  • Administer appropriate disciplinary action as required to team members for negligence or disregard for company policy/procedure
  • Constantly monitor crews and equipment to ensure maximum production levels are being achieved as per production rates in estimates
  • Responsible for making adjustments to equipment and crews to meet target production levels 
  • Responsible for ensuring field crews are trained and instructed to monitor and implement our quality control procedures to meet client specifications
  • Organizes investigations on any incidents and fill out all necessary paperwork and send to the safety department
  • Schedules and delegates required maintenance on the plant to the lead hand and foreman
  • Confirms that leaders and their team members complete and document the appropriate valid technical sign-offs, H&S certificates, etc. prior to completing work
  • Ensures all team members understand and carry out their roles and responsibilities while adhering to safety guidelines 

More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you must have 3-5 years of experience in the crushing or mining industry, along with a PMP or EIT certification

As our ideal candidate, you have strong communication skills, along with exceptional organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability. You must be a mechanically-inclined self-starter with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually.
