About the Opportunity

CPSBC is looking for a full-time Information Technology Project Manager to work in our Vancouver, BC office.  

The Information Technology Project Manager is primarily responsible for initiating and implementing technology changes within the CPSBC that increase efficiency and collaborating and communicating with different stakeholder groups.

In addition, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Building relationships with all levels of the organization to achieve strategic and project-specific goals
  • Engaging and managing third-party vendors
  • Developing a solid understanding of the CPSBC's business, services, and stakeholders
  • Writing business cases and engaging in project charters
  • Defining project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies
  • Utilizing project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
  • Leading and motivating project teams in order to provide timely and quality delivery
  • Managing project budgets, change orders, and resourcing
  • Being accountable for project delivery and communication with stakeholders, including conflict resolution, and periodic updates
  • Transitioning new processes and systems to operations, including the facilitation of operational handoff activities and post-implementation support
  • Ensuring compliance and alignment with all applicable policies, guidelines, and processes

More About You

To qualify, you must have 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a technology project management and reporting role within a complex organization. If you have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Software Development, Project Management or a related field it would be considered an asset.

Essential skills and experience include: 

  • Demonstrated experience with complex projects and multidisciplinary project teams 
  • Experience fostering a friendly, team-oriented workplace where employees work safely and productively together
  • Demonstrated expertise in collaboration and relationship building across different stakeholder groups
  • Experience in problem-solving, change management, financial management, and risk management
  • Experience working with system development lifecycle, project management best practices, and methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Certification in PMP would be beneficial.
