Job Overview
We are currently recruiting permanent full-time Class 1 Low Bed driver to expand our team of transportation and logistics professionals across BC and Alberta.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
- Responsible for loading equipment and properly securing loads in a manner that ensures compliance with weight restrictions and government regulations
- Transporting equipment to various job sites throughout British Columbia and Alberta
- Operate unit and associated equipment in a safe, responsible and professional manner
- Follow and comply with all internal policies & procedures
- Participate in pre-job hazard assessments & inspections prior to commencing any job.
- Complete all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized truck and trailer
- Report all defects, incidents, accidents and violations of law
- Majority of the hauling is on BC highways (Asphalt)
Requirements:
- Working away from home for extended periods of time
- Spending many nights in the truck berth or hotel room
- Minimum 3-5 years experience with hauling equipment/low bedding
- Excellent communication skills
- A valid Class 1 Drivers license with air brakes endorsement and clean drivers abstract
- Ability to navigate work sites, and adapt to daily changes in site scope of work
- Familiar with both mechanical and hydraulic neck systems, jeeps, boosters and various axle configurations
- Must be experienced in heavy haul regulations
- Be well versed in the permitting process
Location: Across BC and Alberta
