About the Opportunity
The County of Simcoe currently has multiple opportunities for Personal Support Workers (PSW) to join our long term healthcare team in multiple locations around the County of Simcoe. We have full-time, part-time, permanent, and temporary positions available!
As a valued member of the interdisciplinary team, you will provide quality care that helps residents meet their emotional, social, cultural, spiritual and physical needs. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing individual client-focused personal care to residents
- Contributing to the development of resident care plans
- Taking part in resident high-risk rounds, and/or attending care conferences
- Supporting resident participation in activities that will promote optimal well-being
- Reporting and documenting changes in residents’ physical and emotional condition
- Participating in internal and external learning opportunities
More About You
To qualify as a Personal Support Worker (PSW), you will have completed, or be currently enrolled in the Personal Support Worker Certification program.
Our ideal candidates for the role above will join us with:
- Recent Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 6 months)
- Proof of documented results of two-step Tuberculosis (TB) testing
- Previous experience in geriatrics, retirement, or in a long term care nursing facility (asset)

Salary and Benefits
Personal Support Workers (PSW) are rewarded with an attractive hourly wage based on skills and experience, as well as location:
Simcoe Manor, Beeton: $24.49 - $26.80 /hour
Sunset Manor, Collingwood: $24.49 - $26.80 /hour
Trillium Manor, Orillia: $24.49 - $26.80 /hour
Georgian Manor, Penetanguishene: $23.05-$25.94/hour (rates are from 2020 and are under review)
Work schedule to be decided; shifts will include weekends, and a combination of days, evenings and or nights.
