About The Opportunity

Zelus is growing! We have exciting opportunities for full-time Overhead Crane Technicians to join our team in the following locations:

  • Oakville, ON
  • Oshawa, ON
  • Windsor, ON

As a member of the service team, you will join a diverse, dynamic group of highly motivated individuals that bring with them a wide array of talents, skills, and backgrounds. This role will perform various tasks while working out in the field.

As our technician, you will provide services such as installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance including inspections of overhead cranes, hoists, and other material handling equipment. 

Some of your essential duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts
  • Performing crane inspections, repairs, installations, and responding to breakdown calls
  • Inspecting hoists, cranes, systems, chain falls and pullers
  • Displaying a professional image, and working within a team environment to accomplish goals
  • Performing other duties as assigned

About You

To qualify, you must have at least 2 years of overhead crane experience as well as an Electrical (309a/442a) or Mechanical (433a) Licence

Candidates with no license but has relevant years of overhead crane technician experience (e.g., installation, repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, etc.), will also be considered.

Additional requirements:

  • Strong understanding of applicable crane regulations
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a client-facing service industry
  • A valid driver's licence
  • Ability to travel to job sites as required
  • Willing to follow health & safety guidelines at all times
  • Comfortable working at heights
