About the Opportunity
Currently, Andrews & Sons Drilling is looking for a Water Well Driller to support various projects in the Regina, SK area on a full-time basis. Driller Assistants are welcome to apply. Travel will be required to our various projects throughout Saskatchewan.
As one of our new drillers, you'll be coordinating and conducting all aspects of the drilling process while operating a variety of mobile drilling rigs and equipment for residential and commercial water wells.
More specifically, your responsibilities will consist of:
- Reviewing client requirements and proposed locations for water wells
- Operating water well-drilling rigs and other equipment to drill, bore, and dig for water wells or environmental assessment, and installing well screens, casings, and other fixtures
- Installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing water well pumps, piping systems, and equipment, and performing pumping tests to assess well performance
- Assisting in material and supply loading, unloading, and load securement
- Hauling supplies and equipment, and setting up drills/equipment on site
- Handling sampling equipment and providing samples to clients
- Assisting with equipment maintenance and repair (including tool maintenance)
- Cleaning equipment and keeping work area clean and free of hazards
- Inspecting all equipment and tools before use, and following all safety standards
- Participating in hazard assessments, inspections, and safety meetings
More About You
In order to qualify for this role, you must be mechanically inclined and physically fit, with a Class 3A or 1 driver's license, and 1-2 years of related drilling experience. Candidates must be able and willing to work outside in varying weather conditions and environments, with a commitment to learning and training.
