About the Opportunity

CapriCMW is growing! We are currently looking for a full-time Commercial Insurance Advisor, Small Business to work in any of our Kelowna, Vernon, or Kamloops, BC offices.

This role is responsible for the management of new and renewal commercial insurance policies while being focused on growth, service, and retention. Daily tasks include receiving and processing all incoming paperwork, providing quotes to clients, reviewing existing coverage, maintaining account receivables, and updating client files. 

More specifically, the scope of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Writing new independent business commercial policies with small to medium-sized accounts from in-house referrals, calls, and walk-ins
  • Maintaining account receivables
  • Receiving and processing all incoming paperwork, providing quotes to clients, reviewing existing coverage, and updating customer files in EPIC
  • Re-marketing of existing client policies and marketing of new client policies
  • Reviewing applications, renewal requests, and endorsement for compliance with underwriting authority and guidelines, as authorized by our companies or “in-house” underwriting
  • Providing primary response for incoming and outgoing requests from clients and insurance companies

About You

To qualify, you will need at least 2 years of client-facing commercial, business, or personal lines insurance experience. To effectively perform this role, you will also need a Level 2 BC Insurance License or the ability to obtain one within 6 months. Knowledge of EPIC and Policy Works, and CAIB or CIP designations, are assets.

Candidates with previous roles as a Personal Lines Insurance Advisor, or Commercial Service Representative, are welcome to apply! We are looking for candidates with a strong, professional customer focus, and knowledge of commercial line products and verbiage.
