About the Opportunity
Ames Tile & Stone currently has an exciting role for enthusiastic Warehouse Representatives to join our teams based out of Vancouver, BC. Candidates can choose to work out of our Distribution Centre in Queensborough, New Westminster, or in our Burnaby branch.
As our new Warehouse Associate, you'll maintain the warehouse and provide efficient services to both external and internal stakeholders and customers.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Shipping and receiving orders
- Manually picking and loading customer orders
- Assisting with cycle counts
- Learning and using ERP systems and hand-held scanners
- Performing safety walks
- Identifying, assessing, and correcting hazards found in the workplace
- Maintaining awareness of safety with a focus on workplace improvement, and safe storage and handling of products daily
More About You
To qualify for this role, you will need 2+ experience as a warehouse representative. The following skills and experiences will also be required.
- Experienced at operating counterbalance forklifts and stand-up reach trucks
- Interest in learning about WMS software and scanners
- Physically fit and able to lift 75 lbs
- Ability to maintain workplace safety and follow safety practices
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Excellent understanding of basic math
