About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for a full-time Communications and Content Specialist to join our team, either fully remote within Canada, or at our office in Cambridge, ON — it's your choice! 

As our in-house Creative Expert, you will take charge of producing engaging marketing materials for Lorandus' boutique events and programs (virtual and face-to-face). You will utilize your expert copywriting and content creation skills to enhance the excitement and engagement of our corporate partners in various industry functions.

In collaboration with the Lorandus' team, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Creating and scheduling written content, stories, imagery, and key messages for all marketing materials in all media formats – print, web, social media, and presentations
  • Gathering all information regarding deliverables, audience, travel destination, timeline, and goals and creating customized content (from proposal to end-user materials) based on the specific project details
  • Scheduling and managing marketing campaigns
  • Managing and maintaining all social media feeds
  • Collaborating with clients to create communication plans and strategies to announce, promote, and reveal programs and events
  • Collaborating with our internal team to implement the communications plans and strategies
  • Adhering to brand guidelines and completing projects according to the agreed scope
  • Driving online engagement through the development of virtual meeting communications and with social media design trends
  • Working both independently, and in cooperation with the team
  • Managing multiple project deadlines to execute expected deliverables

More About You

To qualify, you will need proven experience in content creation, specializing in expert copywriting for various target audiences, preferably within the travel, events, or corporate sectors.

As an ideal candidate, you are a creative storyteller and communications innovator.  You are able to translate a project's vision into an excitingly cohesive and meaningful message that will maximize engagement.

In addition, the following will be essential to perform this role successfully:

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Arts, Marketing, Communications, or related studies
  • B2B-targeted long and short-form copywriting and content creation in various media (e.g., print, web, social media, presentations, etc.)
  • Passion and/or background in world travel and global cultures
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • CRM
  • Knowledge and experience within the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry (asset)

Moreover, you will join us with exceptional attention to detail and top-notch research abilities. You are independent as much as an impactful collaborator. You have exceptional relationship-building skills necessary to understand individual clients and translate their needs into an effective communication plan.
