About the Opportunity

Currently, All Roads Construction has exciting opportunities for a full-time Paving Site Superintendent to join our team in Surrey, B.C. to work on sites throughout the lower mainland. 

The successful candidate will provide on-site coordination for all aspects of their assigned projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Superintendent will be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

Your other key responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Working directly with the Project Manager in ensuring timely billing and up-to-date budgets
  • Scheduling subcontractors, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion
  • Ensuring quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed
  • Communicating with project team regarding RFI’s, and material submittals
  • Ensuring any subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work
  • Coordinating required inspections with local municipalities and authorities
  • Identifying subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards
  • Identifying conflicts in construction progress and communicating them to the project team for resolution
  • Maintaining a written daily log of activities on the job site (Daily Diary) and ensuring job sites are kept in a clean and organized manner
  • Ensuring the proper flow of information to the foreman and subordinates
  • Assisting in obtaining permits or approval of revisions
  • Gathering project material submittals and maintaining records of approvals at the job site
  • Opening the job site at beginning of the day and securing the job site at the end of the day
  • Providing Notice to Public of dates and duration of upcoming works

More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you will join us with at least 5-10 years of related paving experience (road building is preferred), and a valid driver's license. A combination of skills, education, and experience will also be considered.
