About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for full-time Audio/Visual (A/V) Technicians to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. Electro Acoustics is hiring entry-level Technician l, senior-level Technician lll, and Project Lead team members.
Technician l and Technician lll are responsible for ensuring audio, video, lighting, and control systems are installed in accordance with Electro Acoustics’ standards and APEx standards under the supervision of a project lead or lead in training.
Technician l's key responsibilities are:
- Installing projects on time, on budget, and in accordance with industry standards
- Ensuring work is done safely
- Developing your audio/video/lighting skills
Technician lll's key responsibilities are:
- Installing projects on time, on budget, and in accordance with industry standards
- Starting to lead small scopes of work or small projects
- Ensuring work is done safely
- Developing your audio/video/lighting skills
Project Leads are responsible for developing the plan and installing AVL systems on time, on budget, and in accordance with Electro Acoustics’ standards and APEx standards. They are also responsible for leading a team of Electro Acoustics team members and will be training and developing our future Project Leads.
Their key responsibilities are:
- Leading teams to successfully install projects on time, on budget, and in accordance with industry standards
- Installing projects on time, on budget, and in accordance with industry standards
- Coordinating and communicating on projects daily
- Ensuring work is done safely
- Training and developing AV Technicians
- Developing your audio/video/lighting skills
Career growth is guided by individual training plans created by the team members with their managers. As team members develop skills and acquire certifications outlined in their individual training plans, promotions follow automatically.
During the application process, all candidates will be requiredto undergo skill assessment and personality testing.
More About You
To qualify as a Technician l, no specific audio/visual experience is required, but you need:
- The ability to perform physically challenging work requiring strong mechanical and fine motor skills in all environments amid stressful situations and deadlines
- Have been with a company (not necessarily the current employer) for more than 2 years and earned at least 1 promotion at that company
- Experience as a volunteer or as a side job in live events (e.g., serves on a church media team or runs sound for music clubs) or in construction-related organizations (e.g., Habitat for Humanity)
To qualify as a Technician lll, ideally you need the following skills, experiences, and certifications:
- 3-6 years of commercial AV experience
- Less than 8 years of install experience
- AV Technologist Certification (can be earned no later than 30 days of starting in the position)
- OSHA 10 certification
- Ability to perform physically challenging work requiring strong mechanical skills in all environments amid stressful situations and deadlines
- Proven experience working on complex installs of a project having audio, video, and control systems
- Experience outside of corporate and K-12 AV industries
- Have been with a company (not necessarily the current employer) for more than 2 years and earned at least 1 promotion at that company
- Experience as a volunteer or as a side job in live events (e.g., serves on a church media team or runs sound for music clubs) or in construction-related organizations (e.g., Habitat for Humanity)
To qualify as a Project Lead, ideally you need the following skills, experiences, and certifications:
- 5-7 years of commercial AV experience
- Less than10 years of install experience
- Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) Certification
- OSHA 10 certification
- Ability to perform physically challenging work requiring strong mechanical skills in all environments amid stressful situations and deadlines
- Experiencing leading the installation of a project exceeding $200,000 in value
- Experience outside of corporate and K-12 AV industries
- Have been with a company (not necessarily the current employer) for more than 2 years and earned at least 1 promotion at that company
- Experience as a volunteer or as a side job in live events (e.g., serves on a church media team or runs sound for music clubs) or in construction-related organizations (e.g., Habitat for Humanity)
- Currently pursuing or has achieved Associates's degree in project/construction management

About the Benefits
As a valued member of our team, you will be rewarded with the following competitive hourly salaries, depending on your skills and certifications:
- Technician l -$18/hr - $20.50
- Technician lll - $23/hr - $25
- Project Leads - $27.50/hr - $35.26
