About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for a full-time Technical Account Manager to join our team and cover our territory in southwestern Ontario. You will manage our diverse portfolio through a self-managed and flexible mix of on-site client/supplier meetings, work from home option, and occasional office visits. The successful candidate must reside anywhere in Ontario.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting effective strategies to acquire new customers and/or upsell to existing customers
  • Prospecting regularly to determine opportunities within the territory covered
  • Increasing the market share and presence for our outstanding portfolio of key suppliers (e.g., Hioki, TDK Lambda, Form Factor, InTest, etc.)
  • Achieving sales targets through the sale of products and services, to new and existing customers
  • Maintaining consistent sales funnel through efficient prospecting strategies
  • Developing long-term relationships with customers as well as the development of account plans for new relationships
  • Representing ACA TMetrix's products through direct, face-to-face contact with customers, trade shows, and related markets
  • Providing product guidance through advanced technical knowledge and training

More About You

To qualify, you will need at least 3 years of successful outbound, field, or outside sales experience, as well as a post-secondary degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Advanced Technologist, Systems Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Science, or any related field.

Experience in electrical and/or electronic-based technologies, basic knowledge in some test and measurement products, and/or technology sales are highly preferred for this role. 

Since the role requires occasional travel to and from our offices and various client sites in your territory, a valid Driver's License and clean driving record, is required.

Knowledge, skills, and experience in the following will be considered strong assets:

  • Proven prospecting strategies to increase business within the territory
  • Managing multiple, complex sales, and support situations
  • Building and executing a business plan
  • Field Application Engineer background, or equivalent
  • High aptitude in technological trends and advanced technical mindset

Moreover, you are resourceful, highly motivated, assertive, and able to effectively communicate and influence engineers to senior management in a complex competitive environment.
