About the Opportunity
Currently, Togala is looking for Mid-Level and Senior Site Superintendents based in Vancouver, BC, to join their team.
The ideal candidate for Senior Site Superintendent position is an experienced site superintendent looking for the opportunity to join a team where they can reach higher levels of leadership. This will have the unique opportunity to help grow Togala.
As the Mid-Level and Senior Site Superintendents, you will be responsible for total project delivery of planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure compliance with safety, quality, budget, and schedule.
More specifically, your operational and administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing safety leadership through the implementation of Togala’s Safety Program and monitoring of safety performance of field staff and subcontractors
- Working collaboratively with the Project Manager to ensure the project is run efficiently
- Supervising and developing site team members through regular feedback, training and coaching, and performance evaluations
- Developing and maintaining 2 week and 6 week lookahead schedules
- Ordering materials and equipment in a timely manner to avoid any disruption to the schedule
- Ensuring that the site is kept in a safe, clean, and tidy manner
- Identifying and advising of design deficiencies, schedule interruptions or difficulties, and other project issues
- Ensuring quality of subcontractor workmanship and building material
- Maintaining daily paperwork including field reports, safety inspections, and schedule updates
- Participating in pre-construction of new projects as required by management
About You
For the Mid-Level Site Superintendent role, you will need 5 to 10 years of Mid-High Rise Residential/Mixed-Use experience as a Superintendent.
For the Senior-Level Site Superintendent role, you will need 15 to 20+ years of Mid-High Rise Residential/Mixed-Use experience as a Superintendent.
For both roles, a trade background in carpentry and/or Gold Seal Certification, and certification in First Aid and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System would be considered assets.
The following specific experiences and skills will be crucial to perform in this role effectively:
- Demonstrated experience in supervision, coordination, and scheduling of construction activities to ensure completion of projects on time, on budget, and to the clients' satisfaction

- Demonstrated experience in building trust with a broad network of professional colleagues, subcontractors, and team members to effect competitive excellence and outstanding project delivery
- Possessing sound knowledge of construction and building techniques, and the ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with computers, particularly Microsoft Office
- Ability to use Procure and Microsoft Project will be considered an asset
