About the Opportunity  

Kobelt currently has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Production Scheduler to join our team in Surrey, B.C., on a full-time basis.  

In this role, the successful candidate will be working on the master schedule for machines, liaising with the sales team and providing updates on deadlines for customers, while our managing our availability of resources.

While no two days will ever be the same in this pivotal role, your more typical responsibilities will include:

  • Being responsible for the daily creation and update of the Company’s Master Production Schedule prepared within the Company’s ERP system
  • Conducting thorough Material Resource Planning (MRP), match, balance, and coordinating internal and external demand with supply on a timely and accurate basis with the objective of optimal resource usage and delivery dates
  • Communicating the Production Schedule to all stakeholders as required
  • Assisting with the Engineering Change Process in accordance with the Company’s Change Control Process
  • Providing production lead times to Sales for all quotes and customer inquiries
  • Monitoring delivery dates and providing Customer Assistance to Sales in the communication of delivery dates
  • Reviewing and updating Engineering Masters as required
  • Ensuring all scheduled Part IDs have an accurate Engineering Master including resources, run times, and set-up times
  • Maintaining resource (internal and outside) departments and processes within the Company’s ERP system
  • Reporting and monitoring on-time performance
  • Assisting with materials issues and receipts as required
  • Calculating and updating Annual Usages and Order Multiples
  • Performing work in accordance with Company documented policies and procedures
  • Completing all applicable quality records

More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you will need a high school diploma, along with 3-5 years in a related scheduling, manufacturing, or production planning position. Previous experience with MRP (material resource planning) is required, along with experience using an ERP or accounting system (Visual Manufacturing is preferred).
