Your new career
We are currently looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Vancouver, BC. This full-time role will operate on a hybrid model with a blend of work from home and in our Vancouver office.
Working alongside a team of specialists and sales associates, your primary responsibility is to help our clients find their ideal candidate by shortlisting and interviewing applicants that have been sourced for a role.
While coordinating our shortlisting process across a wide range of roles and industries from entry-level to C-suite, your day-to-day activities will include::
- Working with clients to establish what their ideal candidate would look like by managing multiple candidate pools using our applicant tracking system (ATS), screening applications, categorizing candidates, and continuously communicating feedback throughout a campaign.
- Developing a tailored interview guide for each role based on the client's expectations and requirements.
- Shortlisting candidates based on a client's requirements.
- Working with our in-house Recruitment Marketers to ensure potential candidates are asked appropriate screening questions.
- Carrying out two-way video interviews on shortlisted candidates and sharing them with the client.
- Discussing shortlisted candidates with the client and working with them to coordinate final interviews.
- Carrying out reference checks and criminal background checks as required as well as facilitating online behavioural tests.
What we need from you
To succeed in this role, you'll need previous HR or recruitment experience along with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) is an asset, but not required.
This role will see you spending a lot of your time talking to people, so it's important you are comfortable communicating both by phone and through online video tools such as Zoom.
Individuals working within recruitment that love to talk with and learn more about candidates, but are less passionate about the admin of ad placement or the business development of agency recruitment, will excel in this role as those other aspects of recruitment are carried out by other dedicated members of the team.
On any given day you may find yourself communicating with a new graduate, an experienced hiring manager, or a seasoned CFO across a variety of mediums; as such, you'll need to be a comfortable speaker and capable of pivoting your interpersonal approach with ease.
With Scout Talent Canada's diverse portfolio of clients in non-profit, IT, healthcare, education, construction, manufacturing, and First Nations organizations, this is an incredibly rewarding role that is crucial in fulfilling our purpose - connecting people to grow companies, careers, and communities!
The Benefits
As a valued member of the team, you will be rewarded with $55K annual base salary, evaluated on skills and experience, along with benefits including:
- Generous incentives on top of the base salary - $12K on average per year!
- Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision and more
- RRSP matching
- A culture of recognition and celebration - including quarterly awards nights/parties, and the opportunity to attend our annual Global Gathering (a luxury overseas trip for our top performers)
- A culture of learning and development, with dedicated in-house internal L&D team members that empower professional development opportunities
- A commitment to supporting each other's health and wellbeing - Scout Talent Group has its own registered charity, Healthy Workplaces, which has raised over $1m for not for profit organizations and runs global initiatives such as Tour de Office and Step Forward
- And many more!
