Currently, Kode Contracting Ltd. is looking for full-time Heavy Equipment/Crusher Operators (Loader/Excavator/Tower) to work on our sites. This will be a fly-in, fly-out position to work on our projects throughout Canada, mostly focused in Ontario, British Columbia, and the Yukon.
In this role, you will be working to ensure proper safety and production targets are being met and that our various machines are running in an efficient manner. Operators on crushing crews are responsible for participating in all maintenance of the equipment, as well including, but not limited to, screen changes, liner changes, and shoveling to ensure uptime of the plant.
In addition, your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Feeding crushing plant with Excavator or Loader to ensure proper production targets
- Monitoring and running the crusher, screener, and cone
- Ensuring all pre-inspections are being performed before startup and submitting to foreman
- Being responsible for monitoring the plant and working with operators to maximum production of plant
- Reporting all safety incidents, spills, and hazards to the supervisor
- Submitting daily reports to supervisor and making any recommendations to increase production and increase uptime
- Consistently checking materials to ensure specifications are being met and reporting any quality control issues immediately
- Ensuring crews are operating efficiently and labour is being used accordingly
- Reporting any malfunctioning equipment or any maintenance requirements to the supervisor or manager
- Attending and participating in safety meetings
- Scheduling and managing required maintenance on the plant while maximizing crusher uptime
- Performing daily FHA and safety inspections on plants, and participating in all major maintenance of plant
More About You
In order to qualify for this role, you must have a valid Driver's License and preferably at least 1 year of experience in crushing or the mining industry. A mine supervisor certificate or certified operator training are assets, but not required. Please note that the ability to pass drug and alcohol testing is required.
