About the Opportunity
Krekow Jennings invites you to join our team as a Project Manager. Our PMs serve a key role in transforming our customers’ visions and design intent into reality. Your success with KJ will bring a plethora of career-defining projects, continually bringing opportunities for professional challenge and accomplishment.
As a Project Manager at Krekow Jennings, you will provide overall management of the disciplines of budget, schedule and quality of the project. Our clients want predictability and that requires strong forecasting and decision-making skills by their Project Manager. Our PMs are savvy at reviewing the data and managing risk. They listen and recognize what matters most to our customer and their designer.
Project Managers work with their on-site crews throughout the project while ensuring the highest level of quality. The project’s Site Superintendent enacts the schedule and oversees field safety.
KJ projects may last several months to several years depending on the scope and scale. Work location will include our San Francisco office and the project site(s) within the Bay Area. As such, a valid Driver's license is also required.
About You
Candidates should be forward thinking, creative, organized, and self-directed. We are seeking a proven leader with prior experience in high-end residential construction, managing employees, interacting with homeowners, and working in a team environment – while meeting deadlines!
Being an effective listener and communicator is essential! Your empathy helps you recognize what matters most to our customer and their designer. Peers in your current role will describe you as a good leader, collaborator, and creative problem solver.
Candidates must have a complete understanding of residential construction procedures including general shell, interior and exterior finishes, and the ability to thoroughly understand architectural, structural, landscape, mechanical and electrical drawings.
Candidates must be familiar with CPM and proficient in Microsoft Project. They should also be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word. Intermediate Excel skills (including pivot tables) is strongly preferred.
Qualified candidates will have 8 or more years of project management experience. Experience specifically in high-end custom residential construction is strongly preferred. A degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
For less experienced candidates, the opportunity to begin as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager may be an option.
