About the Opportunity
Pliteq is looking for full-time Machine Operators and Labourers based out of our Vaughan, ON facility. We are hiring for our Continental Day and Night Shifts with the following schedule:
- Day Shift - 8am to 8pm
- Night Shift - 8pm to 8am
On each of these shifts, employees are guaranteed 84 hours of work (minimum) over a two-week period and will be required to work every other weekend.
Reporting to the Supervisor, you will assist in assembling our industry-leading products, with the purpose of achieving production targets and highest quality standards, while adhering to our strict safety guidelines.
In addition, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Operating production equipment including mixers, production presses, cylinder press, peeling machines, rewinding machines, convoluters, laminators, regrind, and screening line
- Reviewing production output for quality and conformance standards, and reporting issues to Supervisor
- Ensuring machine and production efficiencies by identifying problems and possible corrective/troubleshooting measures
- Reporting production activities in the ERP system
- Ensuring work areas are clean, organized, and safe from any hazards
- Wrapping, strapping, and correctly labelling all materials used and produced
- Following human resources, environmental health and safety, and Pliteq policies
- Completing required documentation (e.g., production reports, forklift inspections, crane inspections, incident reports, etc.)
- Operating forklift and overhead bridge crane safely upon successful completion of training
About You

Candidates with machine operation, general labour, or manufacturing background, as well as relevant experience and skills in forklift or overhead crane will be considered an asset.
