About the Opportunity
Currently, RH is looking for full-time Project Managers based in Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON. Reporting to the Contract Sales Manager, you are responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of commercial kitchen construction projects, while ensuring timeline and budget are within scope.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the planning and implementation of project
- Assisting the estimator in budget preparation
- Facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Developing and managing project plans, budget, tasks, and resource requirements
- Managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
- Planning and scheduling to adhere to project timelines
- Tracking project deliverables using appropriate tools
- Managing vendors and negotiating contracts
- Enforcing safety procedures in job sites
- Monitoring, documenting, and reporting on progress to all stakeholders
- Implementing and managing project changes and interventions to achieve optimized outputs
About You
To qualify, you will need at least 2 years experience in the commercial food service industry. Candidates with project management experience in commercial kitchen construction will be highly valued for this role! You will also conduct regular site visits, and as such, a valid Driver's License is also required.
The following background, skills, or education will be considered assets:
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field
- Project Management in general construction
- Foodservice or hospitality industry
- AutoCAD
- Supply chain management
- Contract negotiations
- Vendor relations
- Construction estimating, finance, or budget preparation
In addition, your outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills, excellent time management, and ability to multitask will be proven useful in this role. You will be handling multiple projects and teams, so your analytical and solutions-forward thinking will be useful in delivering results with the client's satisfaction in the forefront.
