About the Opportunity
WDI is growing! We are seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer, specializing in C/C++, to take on WDI's innovative Windows-based software development projects.
This is a temporary hybrid work model. Eventually, you must be able to test your projects full-time on-site in our Richmond Hill, Ontario office. WDI welcomes candidates with various levels of experience, as long as they can effectively prove their proficient coding skills!
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing Windows applications and libraries that control WDI products and third party components used in WDI products
- Designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging system software on-site and remotely
- Analyzing and enhancing efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources
- Anticipating issues and formulating solutions based on programming testing and analysis
- Collaborating with Application Engineers in reproducing and investigating issues reported by customers
- Optimizing software by performing maintenance, updates, and upgrades
- Reviewing product documentation to ensure accuracy of the processes
- Keeping up to date with C++ standards and advancements in application development
About You
To qualify for the Intermediate PC Software Engineer role, you will need the following:
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity in C#
- Proficiency in Visual Studio
- Familiarity with National Instruments LabWindows (asset)
- Familiarity with JIRA, Jenkins, Subversion (asset)
Candidates with Bachelor's Degree (such as Sciences, Engineering, etc.) will be highly considered for the role, as well as years of practical work experience in software development.
