About the Opportunity
LXT is currently looking to add energetic Data Transcription Specialists to our offices based in Toronto or Mississauga, Ontario on a part-time, 1-year contractual basis. Candidates can work part-time hours, with the option to work 8hr morning, night, or weekend shifts. We are looking for fluent speakers in any of the following languages:
- English
- French
- Hindi
- Arabic
- German
- Japanese
- Korean
- Indonesian
- Italian
In this role, you will be converting speeches or recordings into text documents, and supporting our growing business by helping deliver high-quality AI training data to our global enterprise clients.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Listening and transcribing audio or video files of various lengths with a high degree of accuracy and within a reasonable timeframe according to specific guidelines and project requirements
- Conducting data classification and data labeling according to defined criteria
- Meeting deadlines and daily KPIs
- Meeting all of LXT’s safety and security requirements and protocols, including with respect to COVID-19

As our ideal candidate, you have a friendly and professional attitude, with high fluency, speed, and accuracy in any of the languages listed above. You are organized with high attention to detail, grammar, spelling, and punctuation, with the ability to closely follow instructions, quality standards, and productivity requirements.
Above all, you love learning about new things, and you’re excited to contribute to an innovative AI space while being committed to a high degree of data confidentiality as required due to the nature of this role.
Please note that candidates will have to be able to pass background checks as required by LXT and its clients prior to commencing employment, and ongoing from time to time.
