Your New Career

Scout Talent is currently looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our dynamic team. This full-time role will operate on a hybrid model with a blend of work from home and in our Vancouver office, and the start date would be January 10th.

As an integral part of our sales team, you will be responsible for researching prospective customers, creating outreach strategies, and identifying sales opportunities.

Using your business acumen, you will conduct exploratory conversations with potential clients, identify how Scout Talent could help an organization achieve its talent acquisition goals, and successfully position the Scout Talent value proposition.

Day after day, you will become an expert in:

  • Obtaining qualified leads by conducting high-volume prospecting (60-100 activities per day). We believe in making genuine connections, which is why in addition to email and LinkedIn messages, we strongly rely on phone and Zoom conversations.
  • Scheduling discovery meetings to further assess a prospect’s talent acquisition goals and to explore the potential for partnership with Scout Talent.
  • Assisting mid-market organizations in achieving their talent acquisition potential.

Beyond these initial responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to learn about the challenges organizations are facing today and how effective talent acquisition can significantly improve their growth potential.

With the support of our close-knit team, you will grow as an individual, salesperson, leader, and executive! We encourage continuous learning and provide appropriate tools for your professional development.

What we're looking for

In order to qualify for this role, you'll have previous successful sales experience or a strong desire to begin a sales career.

You will also join us with the confidence and ability to build up lasting partnerships. As a challenger, you strive to meet and exceed measurable performance goals and take obstacles as opportunities for improvement.

Experience in high volume cold calls is a valued asset, as well as proven success in business development!

This truly is an enjoyable, satisfying position with plenty of growth opportunities. If you love working with people and really enjoy the idea of adding value to an organization and helping companies find the best candidates, then we want to hear from you!

The Benefits

As a valued member of Scout Talent, you’ll be rewarded with an attractive base salary of $55,000 plus uncapped commission. Depending on your progression, you will be able to enjoy on-target earnings of $70,000-$90,000 in Year 1. Additionally, you’ll also get access to an excellent benefits package which includes:

  • A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision and more.
  • Life and Long-term Disability Insurance.
  • Quarterly staff awards nights, parties, and celebration of achievements. Past events have included painting classes, bowling, and renting out a boat! Our most recent event was a skiing trip.
  • The opportunity to attend the annual Global Gathering - in the past, we've been to Vegas, Singapore, Cancun, Paris, Hawaii and New Zealand, to name a few.
  • RRSP matching.
  • Complimentary gym access and free coffee/fruit and snacks in the office.
  • Employee recognition awards like our values award or the bobblehead that every team member receives after a year of working with us.
  • Two (2) weeks’ vacation time to start, with the opportunity to earn up to five (5) weeks as your career with Scout Talent progresses.

Our organization's culture is underpinned by the core values of innovation, enthusiasm, ownership, success, respect, transparency, and wellbeing. If this is a culture you think you could thrive within, then we want to hear from you!
