About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Services Advisor to join our team on a full-time basis in each of the following locations:
- Kitchener
- Waterloo
- New Hamburg
- Leamington
As our new Financial Services Advisor, you will bring expertise in credit, investments, and everyday banking to provide financial advice and build solutions for members that meet their immediate and long-term financial needs. With empathy and curiosity, you will cultivate and manage member relationships, personal and small business, and serve as an ambassador for Kindred to grow our business and impact as you invite others to experience banking with purpose.
More specifically, your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Meeting with members to understand needs, propose and fulfill credit and investment solutions.
- Building relationships through providing financial advice and making referrals to branch partners.
- Managing assigned loan portfolio by proactively serving members on an ongoing basis.
- Actively seeking out and pursuing new business opportunities through leads, referrals, and a network of contacts.
About You
In order to qualify for this role, you must have a valid MFDA license, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in the financial services industry. Completion of a post-secondary program in Business or a related field is also required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
As our ideal candidate, you have strong relationship management, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written). You have solid technical skills, knowledge of credit and/or investments, and an eagerness to learn. You are able to manage your time effectively, are detail-oriented, and have well-developed organizational skills. Above all, you are able to serve customers in a professional and courteous manner, and share our values of volunteerism and community service.
Please note: Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check and Credit check will be required.
