About the Opportunity
Fall River Logging is expanding! Working with Kechika, we are currently looking to fill several positions in our Logging Equipment Operation team for our new project in northern BC / Terrace region — Buncher, Hoe Chucker, Log Loader, and Processor.
This is a unique opportunity to help build our team from the ground up and assist in growing our northern BC projects.
Your tasks include but are not limited to:
- Operating and maintaining equipment as required
- Ensuring equipment have enough fuel to complete the tasks
- Following strict safety protocols and best practices
- Attending safety trainings and site meetings
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of landing areas and logging sites
- Assisting other logging and forestry team members
- Completing daily time cards and completing progress reports
About You
To qualify as a Buncher, Hoe Chucker, Log Loader, and Processor, you must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and at least 3 years of logging equipment experience. Experience in steep slope logging is required for this role. Coastal logging will be considered an asset, but not required.
As our starting key members in this new project, we are looking for motivated individuals who will grow and evolve with the team.
This is a long-term opportunity that requires candidates with a strong sense of teamwork, efficient time management skills, a safety-focused mindset, and excellent adaptability to varying outdoor elements.
Please note: COVID-19 vaccination is required at the camp and in flights to/from Terrace.
