About the Opportunity
Currently, GDLS-C is looking for a full-time Senior Technician, Field Service Representatives who are open to travel internationally, and work on exciting contracts in our global portfolio!
This position includes suitable, furnished living accommodations and transportation, and will begin with a training period in our London, ON facility.
Your duties will also include but are not limited to:
- Providing assistance to internal and external customers on vehicle maintenance issues and repair procedures
- Assisting in the development of repair estimates
- Conducting technical inspections and troubleshooting LAV systems
- Conducting repairs, modifications, and retrofits on LAV vehicles
- Liaising with internal and external customers for resolution of data and technical problems
- Monitoring parts usage and report on any material issues
- Preparing input for various management and log reports
- Providing data to assist in monitoring project budgets and status
- Providing on-site technical, test, and repair support to customers as required
- Acting as lead repair technician and providing team leadership as required
- Instructing, monitoring, and inspecting repairs of other technicians on site as required
About You
In order to qualify for this role, you will need at least 3 years experience as a technician / mechanic in automotive or heavy-duty vehicles (e.g. truck, coach, aircraft, etc).
Other required qualifications are:
- Licensed truck, coach, or automotive interprovincial certification or equivalent work experience (e.g. MOC 400 series)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for DZ license
- Clearance in medical and physical abilities tests, and ability to meet our Anthropometric Size requirements for confined space
- Willing to travel and work in varying environments of our global contracts
- Ability to obtain a valid Canadian Firearms Restricted Possession and Acquisition License (PAL)
- Ability to obtain a valid passport and obtain necessary work visa(s) and travel extensively for 50% of the time, including areas of operational deployment with our customers
Candidates with experience in qualified military fire control systems, military electro optical repair, or military certification will be considered an asset, but not required.
Lastly, candidates with strong communication, organization, and attention to detail skills will succeed in this role.
About the Benefits
You will receive an annual salary of $65,000 to $91,500 based on skills, knowledge, and experience, with an earning potential of up to $106,140, which includes generous incentives and performance bonuses. In addition, you will receive:
