About the Opportunity
REIMAR Construction is currently looking to employ multiple Carpenters to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing frameworks for assigned projects. More specifically, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to a safe, positive work environment by following all safety procedures and regulations
- Accurately measuring and cutting lumber and other building materials
- Working with formwork systems, including wall and column panels, shoring scaffolding and fly tables
- Installing props, re-shores, and pre-cast stairs
- Carrying out work in accordance with project drawings
- Performing all work safely and with accuracy
- Adhering to all safety and covid protocols, including attending all safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Completing other related tasks as assigned
More About You
In order to qualify for this role, you will need previous construction experience. Previous experience in carpentry, especially in formwork is ideal, but not required. Familiarity with different form work systems, such as Peri, Aluma and Doka, as well as completion of a Red Seal Certificate in carpentry are also considered assets. In addition, you must have effective communication and teamwork skills, and be able to reliably get to job sites located throughout Hamilton, Niagara, and the greater Toronto area.
